Where Agriculture and Tourism Intersect
What is Agritourism?
Agritourism involves visiting farms, ranches, or other agricultural locations to participate in farm activities for fun and sometimes for education!
Supporting Local Farm and Governments
Agritourism is a key part of supporting local agriculture and helping Utah's farms to stay sustainable and productive. It allows farm operations to provide more job opportunities and connect communities.
Supporting agritourism does tremendous things to bolster our local economy, our local businesses, and provide opportunities for family fun!
Our History
During the summer of 2024, the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) introduced the Utah Agritourism initiative as part of the new agritourism amendments passed in H.B. 31 during the 2024 Legislative Session. This bill enabled UDAF to establish a voluntary agritourism registry aimed at supporting agritourism operations across the state.
Our Mission
Our purpose is to promote and support agritourism farms and operations across the state by showcasing and connecting the unique farming and ranching experiences available for businesses and communities.
