Bewitched By Alpacas

Our alpaca farm was created to offer an experience that connects people to fiber, animals, and handmade traditions. The business centers on outdoor weaving classes held right in the pasture, where students learn on home-built looms surrounded by alpacas and open skies.

Workshops focus on accessible, creative weaving using a wide range of materials, including hand-spun alpaca yarn produced on the farm, commercial yarns, raw fiber, ribbons, torn cloth, feathers, and mill ends. Classes are designed for beginners through experienced makers, emphasizing free-style weaving, exploration of texture and color, and the joy of creating something uniquely personal.

In addition to on-farm instruction, the business supports the broader fiber community through online and festival-based teaching, helping make fiber arts approachable while preserving traditional skills. The farm experience invites guests to slow down, engage with rural life, and participate in the full journey of fiber from pasture to loom.

Jenny Ferguson
Owner

Jenny Ferguson is a Utah-based fiber artist, alpaca farmer, and fiber arts teacher who blends traditional techniques with playful, free-style creativity. She teaches hands-on weaving workshops on her working alpaca farm and has shared her expertise through Curios Mondo’s online artist programs as well as at fiber festivals including Utah’s Great Basin Fiber Fair.

A former president of her local spinners guild, Jenny brings both leadership and years of practical experience to every class. Her teaching centers on fiber from pasture to loom, encouraging students to explore texture, color, and mixed materials while creating one-of-a-kind woven pieces. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her spinning yarn on the farm, tending alpacas, and dreaming up new ways to help others fall in love with fiber.
