Welcome to Ogden Bay Produce, where tradition meets taste! We’re a fifth-generation family farm in Taylor, Utah, growing over 170 acres of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. While we’re proud to supply over 5 million pounds of produce to markets and other farmers across Northern Utah and beyond, our favorite part of the season is welcoming families to our U-Pick Garden. There’s nothing better than seeing families find sun-riped tomatoes, friends cutting flowers to share, and neighbors gathering to make memories in the fields.
Our farm’s roots run deep. It all started in 1909 when our great-grandfather Hyrum Peterson purchased 200 acres and began growing vegetables in a shoebox…literally! Thanks to Taylor’s rich sandy loam soil, he quickly found success, especially in watermelons and cantaloupes. Through the Great Depression, Hyrum sold melons door to door for a nickel, keeping the farm going with grit and gratitude. That passion for the land and love for the harvest has been passed down through five generations.
Today, Ogden Bay Produce is still family-owned and operated by Matt and Ashley Peterson along with their family and a dedicated crew. We’ve grown a lot since Hyrum’s day, but our mission is the same: grow good food, take care of the land, and bring people together. Whether you’re gathering peppers and tomatoes for salsa, enjoying one of our famous melons, or just soaking up the sunshine, our U-Pick Garden is here to connect you to the land, the season, and the people you love. Come visit, we’d love to share the farm with you!
