What is Agritourism?
Agritourism, as defined by the state of Utah, is the combination of agricultural production with tourism to attract participants from the general public to an agricultural enterprise for the entertainment, recreation, or education of the participants.
Agritourism allows farmers and ranchers to diversify their operations beyond agricultural production and give Utah community members a taste of agriculture through participating in activities on an active farm or ranch. The 2022 Census of Agriculture found that Utah's farms and ranches generated approximately $13.7 million through welcoming visitors onto their farms for agritourism and recreational activities.
